Overview
Located 45 km south of the capital, Bethanchowk Rural Municipality (बेथानचोक गाउँपालिका, काभ्रेपलाञ्चोक) has six ward offices. Savik's Chamrangveshi VDC is now Ward No. 1, Dhunkhark VDC Ward No. 2, and 3, Chalalganesthan VDC Ward No. 4, Chasingkhark VDC Ward No. 5 and Bhugdeumahankal VDC Ward No. 6. The rural municipality is named after the Bethanchok Narayan Temple located at an altitude of 3018 m above sea level in Ward No. 1 of Savik Dhunkharka VDC. Many important herbs are found in the Bethanchowk Rural Municipality, which is located in the Mahabharat mountain range, which is full of natural beauty. Especially some important herbs found in Dhunkharka, Bhugdeu, Chasinkharka, Chalaganesthan area include Lauthasalla, Thingarsalla, Viswama, Arghauli, Zhao, Sugandhawal, Chiraito, Majitho, Kurilo, etc. The Tamang community seems to be in the majority in Bethanchowk village municipality as a beautiful confluence of Brahmins, Chhetri, Adibasi, Janajati, and Dalit castes.
