Overview
Bareng Rural Municipality (वरेङ गाउँपालिका, बाग्लुङ) was established in 2017 (Falgun 27, 2073 BS) as a local government of Nepal. The headquarters of the Bareng Gaupalika is located in Hugdishir, Baglung, Gandaki Province of Nepal. Bareng is a rural municipality and also known as Gaunpalika in the Nepali Language.
Bareng Rural Municipality is surrounded by Jaimini Municipality on the East, Gulmi district on the West, Galkot Municipality on the North and Gulmi district on the South.
The total area of the Bareng Rural Municipality is 75.28 km2 (29.1 sq mi) and the total population of the municipality is according to 2011 (2068 BS) Nepal census is 14,492 individual. The density of this rural municipality is 192.5/km2 (498.6/sq mi). This rural municipality is divided into 5 wards. The elevation of this rural municipality is 1746.8 meters (5731 feet) altitude from sea level.
Dhullu Baskot, Hugdishir, Salyan, Batakachaur, sukhaura village development committees (VDCs) were incorporated to form Bareng Rural Municipality. This rural Municipality came into existence on 10 March 2017.
