Overview
Bangad Kupinde Municipality, Salyan (बनगाड कुपिण्डे नगरपालिका, सल्यान) was established in 2017 (2073 BS) as a local government of Nepal. The headquarters of the Bangad Kupinde Nagarpalika is located in Devisthal Kupinde, Salyan district, Karnali Province of Nepal. Bangad Kupinde is a municipality and also known as Nagarpalika in the Nepali Language. Bangad Kupinde Municipality is surrounded by Kumakhmalika Rural Municipality and Dhorchaur Rural Municipality on the East, Surkhet district on the West, Jajarkot district on the North and Shaarda Municipality and Kalimati Rural Municipality on the south.
The total area of the Bangad Kupinde Municipality is 338.21 km2 (130.58 sq mi) and the total population of the municipality is according to 2011 (2068 BS) Nepal census is 36,052 individual. The density of this rural municipality is 110/km2 (280/sq mi). The Highest elevation 2,300m (7,500 ft) and Lowest elevation 550m (1,800 ft) from sea level. This urban municipality is divided into 12 wards.
Devisthal, Bame Banghad, Mulkhola, Dhagari Pipal, Kubhinde, Majh Khanda and Nigalchula Village Development committees (VDCs) were incorporated to form Bangad Kupinde Nagarpalika. This Municipality came into existence on 10 March 2017.
