Badigad Rural Municipality (वडिगाड गाउँपालिका, बाग्लुङ) was established in 2017 (Falgun 27, 2073 BS) as a local government of Nepal. The headquarters of the Badigad Gaupalika is located in Gwalichaur, Baglung, Gandaki Province of Nepal. Badigad is a rural municipality and also known as Gaunpalika in the Nepali Language.

Badigad Rural Municipality is surrounded by Galkot Municipality on the East, Nisikohla Rural Municipality, Gulmi and Pyuthan district on the West, Dhorpatan Municipality and Tarakhola Rural Municipality on the North and Gulmi district on the South.

The total area of the Badigad Rural Municipality is 178.68 km2 (69 sq mi) and the total population of the municipality is according to 2011 (2068 BS) Nepal census is 30,906 individual. The density of this rural municipality is 173/km2 (448/sq mi). This rural municipality is divided into 10 wards. The elevation of this rural municipality is 2244 meters (7362 feet) altitude from sea level.

Daga Tundada, Sisakhani, Jaljala, Gwalichaur, Bhimgithe, Ranasingkiteni, and Darling village development committees (VDCs) were incorporated to form Badigad Rural Municipality. This rural Municipality came into existence on 10 March 2017.
