Overview
Aathrai Tribeni Rural Municipality (Nepali: आठराई त्रिवेणी गाउँपालिका) is a beautiful village located in the southwest part of the Taplejung district, in the Mechi Zone of eastern Nepal. In 2017 AD the Federal Ministry of Local Affairs and Local Development implemented the 744 local level to form the Aathrai Tribeni Gaupalika of Phulbari, Nighuradeen, Change, and Hangpang Village Development Committees in the Taplejung district. The headquarters of this Gaupalika is located in Hangpang, Taplejung district of Nepal.
The total area of this Gaupalika is 88.83 sq km. This Rural Municipality is divided into 5 wards. The total population of this Rural Municipality is 13784. To the east of the Aathrai Rural Municipality border is Yangwarak Rural Municipality and Panchthar District; Maiwakhola Rural Municipality in the west; Phungling Municipality to the north; And extends south to the district of Terathum.
