Government of Nepal, National Examination Board (NEB), Examination Control Office (Grades 11 and 12), Sanothimi, Bhaktapur
Revised Notice Regarding Filling Out the Examination Application Form for Regular and Partial Examinees of Grade 12.

In line with the decision of the Board dated 2081/09/10 (BS), this revised notice has been published for those studying in secondary schools/campuses affiliated with teaching Grades 11 and 12 and who will participate in the annual examination of Grade 12 to be held in 2082 as regular and partial examinees (those whose registration numbers begin with 78 (last chance), 79, or 80). They are required to deposit NPR 600 per student into the account of the concerned office of the Board by 2081 Magh 15 (BS) and submit the examination application form to the concerned office of the National Examination Board by 2081 Magh 30 (BS). You are also requested to fill out/submit the examination application form using the details below.

1. Students filling out the examination application form as regular examinees of Grade 12 (i.e., those whose registration numbers begin with 81) must have obtained at least a D in all theoretical subjects and a C in internal/practical evaluations in the Grade 11 examinations conducted by the school in 2081. The Grade 11 marksheet (with the minimum required grades), certified by the Principal (Headmaster), must be mandatorily attached to the examination application form; otherwise, the form will not be accepted.

2. The examination application fee is NPR 600 (six hundred rupees) per student, which must be deposited into the account of the National Examination Board's concerned office.

3. For practical exams conducted by external examiners appointed by the Board, each student must pay an additional NPR 75 (seventy-five rupees) per subject. Details of the subjects requiring practical fees are mentioned in item 6. Of the NPR 75 per subject, NPR 25 (twenty-five rupees) per subject shall remain with the concerned school to be provided as remuneration for the internal examiner. The remaining NPR 50 (fifty rupees) per subject must be deposited into the account of the concerned office of the National Examination Board by 2081 Magh 15 (BS) through a bank voucher.

4. The bank voucher for the amount deposited for the specified period and purpose can only be used for that same period and purpose.

5. When sending the students’ examination application forms, schools must arrange and submit them in order based on year and registration number.
Regular and partial students shall sit for the examination from their designated center. There will be no change in the examination center.

6. The National Examination Board’s concerned office shall appoint external examiners to conduct practical examinations for the following Grade 12 subjects:

  • Physics (1022/9132)

  • Biology (2022/9102)

  • Chemistry (3022/9112)

  • Computer Science (4282/9152)

  • Hotel Management (4402)

The Principal (Headmaster) of the concerned school must coordinate with the respective office of the National Examination Board to schedule these practical examinations by the end of 2081 Falgun (BS). These practical exams must be completed by the end of 2081 Chaitra (BS), and the student’s scores must be entered online. The hard copy and soft copy of these scores must be submitted to the concerned office of the Board by 2082 Baisakh 15 (BS). Aside from these five subjects, the practical/internal examinations for other subjects must also be completed within the same period, and results must be submitted to the Board’s concerned office by 2082 Baisakh 15 (BS). Schools themselves must arrange internal and external examiners for those subjects.

7. Partial examinees must fill in/submit their application form from the same school where they filled out the form and took the Grade 12 regular exam. If the form is found to be filled out from any other school, that exam application form will be canceled.

8. Students must fill out the application form for Grade 12 in the same subject and stream they studied in Grade 11. If a student chooses a different subject or stream, that subject will be automatically canceled.

9. Partial examinees (those whose registration numbers begin with 78 (last chance), 79, or 80) must fill in the examination application form only for the subjects in which they received NG (Not Graded) or were marked Absent (Abs). Additionally, if their internal/practical marks are missing, they must specify the theoretical and internal/practical codes when filling out the examination form. Schools must also conduct internal evaluations and submit scores on time. Students currently studying as regular examinees in Grade 12 and wishing to take an extra subject exam must include a copy of the Grade 11 mark sheet for that same extra subject along with the application form.

10. Each student must personally fill out the examination application form. The school shall make arrangements to enter the student’s details online. To do this, go to https://exam.neb.gov.np or the Board’s website, www.neb.gov.np, and click on Online Exam Form (Class 12) to enter the details accordingly. Furthermore, the online entry will remain open for regular examinees from 2081 Poush 15 (BS) to 2081 Magh 25 (BS). All schools must complete the online form entry within the specified timeframe.

11. According to the Letter Grading Directive, 2078, if a student who has not received the required grade (C) in internal/practical evaluation participates in the annual examination, their examination will be canceled. Hence, schools are also informed through this notice to submit the internal/practical marks within the specified timeframe along with the hard copy to the concerned office of the Board. Schools are requested to mandatorily submit the score details of partial examinees whose internal marks were missing from the previous year.

12. The fee for the examination application forms, as determined per student, can be deposited in a lump sum directly via bank voucher into the Board’s account at Rastriya Banijya Bank or by using one of the payment gateways (Connect IPS, e-Sewa, Khalti, IMEpay, RBB mobile banking) in the system. If payment is made digitally, proof of such payment must be compulsorily submitted along with the application form.

13. The concerned offices of the National Examination Board are notified to inform the schools/campuses under their jurisdiction about this notice and to execute their work following it.
