Exam 19 Jul 2021 2228

NEB-National Examination Board

The National Examination Board is preparing to conduct the Class 12 examination in the fourth week of Shrawan. Prof. Dr. Chandra Mani Poudel, Chairman of the Board, said that he has received positive information about conducting the Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) examination.

The board had sent an application to the Ministry of Education two weeks ago seeking permission to conduct the examination in physical presence. Poudel said that the ministry had taken him to the CCMC and that he would get permission from the CCMC to conduct the examination soon.

"We have not received a copy of the decision. We will come by tomorrow and then we will decide at the board meeting. We will do Shrawan within the fourth week, ”he said.

As per the decision of the board meeting, preparations have been made to fix the examination center, date and make the examination schedule public. The exam, scheduled for May 26, was postponed after the second wave of corona infections began to spread rapidly.

The National Examination Board (NEB) is preparing to conduct the final examination of class 12 at the secondary level this time. The board has stated that it is preparing to make 100 integers this year as last year's evaluation system was not effective.

The board had taken the exam last year by reducing the time and score. The board had taken the exam only for a 40 percent assessment. The remaining 40 percent of the assessment was based on the results of class 11 and 20 percent was based on the internal assessment. The board had designated home centers and conducted examinations in 4,105 examination centers across the country.

According to the Examination Control Office, 386,000 students have filled up the examination forms this year.
