Due to the high risk of Covid 19, it has been decided that the class 12 examination will be held in physical attendance from the 15th of August 2021 (31st Shrawan 2078). A meeting of the National Examination Board (NEB) held on Tuesday decided to conduct the examination from 31st Shrawan to 9th Bhadra 2078 (15th August to 25th August 2021), said Jung Bahadur Aryal, spokesperson of the board.
In order to make the exams safer in terms of health safety, NEB has requested the Ministry of Education to provide high priority to the students participating in the exams and arrange for vaccination against corona.
Students will have to take a written test of 100 marks in the examination which will be conducted for three hours from 11 am to 2 am. "The examination of 375,000 candidates across the country is conducted from the home center," said Aryal.
NEB President Chandra Mani Poudel said that this time the question papers will be sent both online and offline. He said that arrangements have been made to send question papers via email or other electronic means on the day of the examination to the centers with online access.
"The NEB has sent a request to the Ministry of Health through the Ministry of Education to arrange for vaccination against Corona by the government before the examination," Poudel said. Even in the examination hall, only one student is allowed to sit on a bench. Students who are unable to take the exam due to covid have been re-examined on the basis of evidence.
Classes 11 and 12 are running in 4335 secondary schools across the country. That is why this time four thousand three hundred and thirty-five examination centers have been designated. "There is a written test for 100 percent marks," said Chairman Poudel. "The experimental test of 25 marks is taken by the school itself."
The examination coordination committee under the coordination of the district heads has been made more responsible to make the examination more dignified and systematic after the home center has been identified due to corona risk.
During the Corona epidemic, the board will orient the central chairperson on the conduct of examinations, management and standard of health safety, the mandatory wearing of masks, use of sanitizer and soapy water, toilet sanitation, etc. Violators of the exam are liable to imprisonment for six months or a fine of Rs 100,000 or both.
