Virtual Workshop for Teacher Started:
A virtual workshop for teachers on how to improve student learning during the Corona epidemic has begun. In the workshop organized by the Education Division of Lalitpur Metropolitan City and Lalitpur Metropolitan Committee of Nepal Teachers Federation, the basic and secondary level teachers have been informed about basic computer and information communication technology (ICT).
Mayor of Lalitpur Municipal Corporation Chiribabu Maharjan inaugurated the workshop which will be held till 31st August (15th Bhadra). He said that the Lalitpur Municipal Corporation would extend full support to manage the teaching and learning in the school. Chairman of the Federation of Teachers Lalitpur Metropolitan Committee Rajendra Prasad Timalsina informed that the workshop will provide information and practice on the use of modern technologies in the teaching process.
He said that it would help to make the coaching activities disrupted through virtual media. Timalsina informed that a workshop has been organized for the teachers with the objective of involving the students in reading online when the school could not be opened due to the Corona epidemic.
He also clarified that it would be easier for the students to conduct online classes after the teachers get information about basic computer and ICT. More than 340 teachers from 40 community schools in Lalitpur are participating in the workshop.
