The student festival, a beacon of educational reform, is scheduled from May 14 to May 16, 2024, at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. This significant event, marking the 60th anniversary of the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), will be inaugurated by UML President KP Sharma Oli.

In a recent press conference, ANNFSU President Samik Badal highlighted the festival's dual goals: fostering a deep love for the motherland among youth and promoting the motto "I will study in Nepal, I will build my country." The event aims to challenge the traditional view that student unions are primarily protest-oriented by showcasing their broader educational and developmental roles.

Educational Exhibits and Activities

The festival will feature 150 stalls offering a glimpse into various academic disciplines, with a strong emphasis on science, technology, discovery, research, and innovation. These stalls are designed to engage students from class 8 onwards, providing them with insights into the practical and innovative aspects of their studies.

Investment and Support

The festival's budget is set at one and a half million rupees, funded by contributions from various educational institutions and stakeholders. President Badal noted that 5% of these funds would directly support students' educational pursuits.
