Step by Step Secondary School Pokhara Celebrates 34th Anniversary and Parents Day

Step by Step Secondary School, located in Masbar, Pokhara, celebrated its 34th Anniversary and Parents' Day on February 15, 2023, Wednesday. The event featured student performances, including dance and cultural presentations.

The program was inaugurated by Pancharam Gurung, the Minister of Social Development and Health of Gandaki Province. Minister Gurung acknowledged the school's significant contribution to the educational development of Pokhara and expressed his admiration for the students' performances. He wished the school continued success in the future.

Principal Nirmala Baral, the founder of the school, spoke about the institution's commitment to providing quality education that facilitates the all-around development of its students. During the event, she presented the annual school report.

The program also included the presentation of academic, sports, and extracurricular activity awards. Additionally, long-service medals were awarded to two teachers, Yuvraj Lamichhane and Kamala Neupane, who had served in the school for over 12 years. Staff Padmaraj Acharya was also recognized. The honours were conferred by Pokhara 7 Chairman Ram Mohan Acharya, Founder Principal Nirmala Baral, and School Founder Director and School Management Committee Chairman Ramakant Baral.

Krishna KC, Central Vice President of the Private and Boarding Schools' Organization Nepal (PABSON) and founder principal of Pokhara Public School, expressed his concerns about the challenges posed by mobile phones to students in recent times. He acknowledged the benefits and drawbacks of mobile phones and suggested that they be connected to learning. He also advised parents to help their children disengage from mobile phones.

Ramakant Baral, founder, and director of the school expressed his appreciation to all present. The event was hosted by Vice Principal Deepak Giri. Hisan Kaski President, Yam Bahadur Roka, and Srijan Baral, on behalf of the parents, conveyed their best wishes.

The school coordinator, Surya Prasad Lamsal, organized the program, and Raghunath Wagle was the program's conductor. The school offers science and management subjects to its 700 students in the 11th and 12th grades.
