The Rautamai Science and Art Exhibition is set to take place in Murkuchi of Rautamai rural municipality 7, Udayapur district, to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the establishment of Shree Namuna Secondary School located in Murkuchi. The exhibition is expected to attract more than 80 schools from Udaipur and neighboring districts.
The exhibition is divided into four categories: science, art, environment, and social activities. The headmaster of the school, Khadg Magar, explains that the aim of the exhibition is to showcase the talents of school-level children and create scientific and capable citizens in the future. The students who exhibit the best art in each category will receive prizes.
The school has been declared a model school since 2078 and has a program to present progress, academic, physical, and financial reports on its anniversary. Furthermore, the school has a schedule to honor various people who have helped from various fields and levels to bring it to the present state from the time of its establishment.
The school has been modernized and equipped with facilities to make it more child-friendly by building physical infrastructure and increasing the educational activities of the school. The school has also arranged for English medium and computer education from class 1 to 5. Since 2076, the school has been teaching civil engineering from classes 8 to 12 towards technical education.
Various governmental and non-governmental organizations including rural municipality, Human Rights and Environmental Development Center (HURENDEC), Child Development Society (CDS), REST, and Murkuchi Industry and Commerce Association have supported the science exhibition.
It expects to see an impressive display of scientific projects, artistic creations, environmental awareness initiatives, and social activities carried out by talented school-level children.
