Ram Navami Festival Celebration: On the day of Chaitra Shukla Navami, the festival of 'Ram Navami', which is celebrated in the memory of Lord Ram Chandra, is celebrated with reverence and devotion all over the country. Worship is performed in the temples of Lord Ramachandra on the occasion of the victory of truth over untruth and the Ram Navami festival celebrated in the memory of Lord Rama.
In the Treta era, Lord Rama was born in Ayodhya, India today, incarnating Vishnu as the son of King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalyavati. In the same memory, there is a tradition of bathing in holy rivers, lakes, and ponds, fasting, reciting Rama Gita, reciting spiritual, Valmiki, Tulsikrit, and Bhanubhaktiya Ramayana and worshiping Lord Rama, and chanting hymns throughout the night.
It is mentioned in the scripture called 'Vratarka' that by fasting and worshiping Shri Ram on this day, the intended work will be completed and Baikuntha will reside in the next life.
Born as the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the eldest son of King Dasharatha of Ayodhya, Shri Ram destroyed sinful and evil demons from the world after marrying Sita, daughter of King Janak of Mithila. Shri Ram had fulfilled the classical belief of 'Lok Ranjanat Raja'.
As Ram ruled in Ayodhya as an ideal man who respected his father and mother, respected the elders, and loved the younger ones, his reign is still remembered as Ram Rajya. Lord Vishnu was born in the human world as Rama to protect the righteous by putting an end to evil in creation. Former Associate Professor of Valmiki Vidyapeeth, Shri Ram Sapkota said that the celebration of Ram Navami was held with the hope that we too would have the same qualities as Ram.
By fasting, worshiping, and adoring Shri Ram on the day of Ram Navami, happiness, peace in this world and sadgati in the hereafter are mentioned in the scriptures including Ramayana. It is mentioned in the religious scriptures that the celebration of Ram Navami was started in his memory as he inspired the human race to follow the path of truth by accepting the strict command of his father.
On this occasion, fairs will be held at various temples across the country including Shri Ram Chandra Temple at Battisputali, Ram Temple at Pashupati Aryaghat opposite, and Ram Temple at Arubari in Gokarneshwar Municipality-9.
