Purwanchal Engineering Campus to Host 5-Day Competitive Fest for IT Students
A five-day competitive Assess Fest for IT students is set to take place at Purwanchal Engineering Campus The festival, organized jointly by the Association of Computer Engineering Students and the Independent Student Union of the campus, will be held from 26th to 29th Mangsir 2081 at the sports ground of Purwanchal Engineering Campus in Dharan-8, according to Assess chairman Dinesh Nepal.
He mentioned that the Assess Fest aims to inspire the development of competitive skills among IT students. Participants from all over Nepal, including Dharan, Itahari, Morang, Jhapa, Pokhara, Kathmandu, and Butwal, are expected to join the event. The organizers estimate that more than 5,000 students will compete in the fest this time.
Chairman Nepal highlighted that IT professionals, users, and the general public would also attend the fest. He added that the fest continues to promote IT education, opportunities, and the enhancement of students' capabilities.
During the fest, IT students will showcase various projects. Students from different schools in Dharan will come to observe these projects. The fest will feature different stalls related to IT.
The fest has been beneficial for students interested in the IT field. Chairman Nepal mentioned that representatives from business companies come to observe the projects of intern students and provide employment opportunities based on their capabilities.
A hackathon competition, which will be another attraction of the fest, will award the first, second, and third place teams with cash prizes of NPR 180,000 and a trophy.
Assess's Public Relations Officer, Amogh Bhattarai, noted that more than 35 teams from across the country would participate in the competition. The fest will include various competitions such as AR Wagon, Capture the Flag, UI/UX Design, Google Maestro, and Game Festival.
All teams and players in the competitions will receive cash prizes and gift hampers. The fest will run daily from 10 AM to 5 PM.
