On the occasion of the famous Sitaram Bibaha Panchami Festival, the Province 2 government has given a public holiday on December 8 / 2078 Mangsir 22 (Wednesday).
Public holiday was granted on Wednesday as per the decision of the Council of Ministers of the state government dated April 14, 2021 (1st Baishakh 2078 BS). Similarly, Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan Municipality has decided to give three days public holiday in community and private schools of the city in view of Bibaha Panchami Festival.
It has been decided to close the educational institution from Tuesday to Thursday on the occasion of Bibaha Panchami Festival, a week-long program at Janaki Temple in Janakpurdham, said Mehilal Yadav, Chief of Education, Youth and Sports Division of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City.
Chief Yadav said that it has been decided to give leave to the community, private schools and educational institutions in the municipality from November 7 to 8 considering the congestion caused by the Bibaha Panchami Festival.
There is a wedding program on Wednesday as part of the week-long program Vivah Panchami Mahotsav which started last Friday. On the first day of Sitaram Wedding Festival, Janakpur was visited on Friday and Phulbari Lila was held on Saturday.
Dhanush Yagya is scheduled for Sunday. According to Janaki Mandir's successor Mahantha Ram Roshan Das Baishnav, the festival will have TilakUtsav on Monday, Matko on Tuesday, Shubha Bibaha on Wednesday and Ramkaleva on Thursday.
