Nepal Cricket Teams won Tri-nation T20 Series

Nepal Won Title of T20 Tri-nation Series Cricket Tournament:

Nepal has become the winner of the tri-nation T20 cricket tournament. Nepal defeated the Netherlands by 142 runs in the final of the tournament. Nepal has won the T20 title for the first time at home.

Following the target of 239 runs set by Nepal, the Netherlands reached 96 runs in 17 overs with two balls to spare. This is the biggest win ever in Nepal's International T20. Earlier, Nepal had won the South Asian Games (SAG) by 141 runs over Bhutan.

Earlier, after successfully chasing 206 runs in the second match against Nepal, the Netherlands was expected to play a similar game in the final. But losing six wickets in 42 runs, and innings faltered. The pressure to bring 12 runs per over from the beginning was uncomfortable for the Dutch batsmen.

Nepal, on the other hand, did not repeat the mistake they made in bowling when they faced the Netherlands for the second time in the league. Ashif Shesh, who started bowling from Sompal and Kamal Airy, returned Nepal to the pavilion after being run out in the fifth ball of the second over. Then wicket began to fall. Ben Cooper returned with seven runs. The Netherlands lost the third wicket for 33 runs after Kushal Bhurtel was run out on another ball opened by Bas de Lead.

Another opener, Max O'Dowd, made some aggressive shots, but Karan KC came under more pressure when he returned to the pavilion for the fourth wicket with a total of 36 from the Netherlands. Wicketkeeper-batsman Scott Edwards was five and Antois Stall was knocked out as the Netherlands added 42 runs in seven overs with four balls to spare.

In the Netherlands' innings, opener Max O'Dowd's 20 and Sebastian Brat's 26 were the highest individual totals. Brat remained undefeated. Captain Peter Seeler contributed 13 runs. No other batsman has even touched a double total.

Among Nepali bowlers, Karan KC took the most three wickets. Kamal Airy and Sandeep Lamichhane took two wickets each. Avinash Bohara took one wicket. Two Dutch batsmen were run out.

Earlier, Nepal, who were invited to bat first after losing the toss at the Kirtipur-based TRI Cricket Ground, put up a huge total of 238 runs for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs.

This is Nepal's highest-ever total in the International Twenty20. Earlier, Nepal had scored 236 runs for the loss of three wickets against Bhutan in the South Asian Games.

When opener Ashif returned Pavilion with 16 runs off just eight balls, Nepal added 30 runs in two overs and two balls. After all the early and middle-order batsmen performed remarkably, Nepal managed to make a huge total.
