The International Cricket Council (ICC) has made Nepal a co-host for the U-19 Women's World Cup to be held in 2027. ICC has given Nepal and Bangladesh the opportunity to jointly host the U-19 Women's World Cup in 2027.
The board meeting of ICC has decided to hand over the ICC U-19 tournament from 2024 to 2027 to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand, Zimbabwe, and Namibia along with Nepal.
According to this, the 2027 U-19 Women's World Cup will be held in Nepal and Bangladesh. Before that, the 2025 tournament will be organized by Malaysia and Thailand.
According to the ICC, the 2024 U-19 Cricket World Cup will be held in Sri Lanka and the 2026 tournament will be held in Zimbabwe and Namibia.
Nepal's women's team, which received the right to host the U-19 Women's World Cup, has not yet played in the World Cup.
The first edition of the 2023 U-19 Women's World Cup is being held in South Africa. For the World Cup, Nepal played the selection of the Asian region. But he failed to qualify by finishing third.
Nepal's men's senior team played in the T20 World Cup in 2014. Similarly, the U-19 men's team has also participated in the World Cup.
Acting Secretary of Nepal Cricket Association CAN Prashant Vikram Malla said that it is a matter of pride for Nepal to have the opportunity to host the World Cup.

He said that the names of the five venues of Nepal for the World Cup have been sent to the ICC. He added, "The ICC representative will come and approve our 2 venues for hosting the World Cup." The U-19 Women's World Cup will be held at two venues in Nepal and two in Bangladesh.
