The jersey design of the Nepali national cricket team will be done through open competition. Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) and My Second Teacher (MST), the main sponsor of the Nepali national cricket team, have opened a competition to design the jersey of the national cricket team.
CAN and MST said in a joint statement on Monday that the competition for the design of the jersey was open. The designer of the jersey will have to design both the front and the back of the national team jersey. "Anyone designing a jersey should use the red and blue colors used in Nepal's national flag," the statement said.
The jersey should be designed in accordance with International Cricket Council (ICC) rules for national teams, CAN said.
The best designer will receive a cash prize of one Lakh Rupees. The design of the jersey should be sent to CAN's official email [email protected] by June 17. The jersey selection committee will have two members from CAN and one from AdPad.
Nepal will face Scotland and Namibia in their second series of the World Cup in Spain in July.
Meanwhile, My Second Teacher has decided to give Rs 500,000 in cash to the Nepali team that won the title of the triangular series involving Nepal, Netherlands and Malaysia organized earlier this month.
Sulabh Budathoki, the founder of My Second Teacher, said that four players who made their debut during the series, Kushal Bhurtel, Asif Sheikh, Shahab Alam, and Kamal Singh Airy, will be handed over Rs 100,000 each in a few days.
