Kathmandu Metropolitan City to Conduct Capacity Building Training for 720 Teachers
Kathmandu Metropolitan City will provide 720 teachers with a thematic, integrated curriculum and training on operating and managing early childhood development centers. The Metropolitan Education Department will conduct the training under the 'Teacher College Program' to improve the results by developing teachers' capacity and using their qualifications and skills.
It has been informed that 720 teachers from any school operating within the metropolitan area will be included in the training, starting on 3rd Magh 2081. Teachers from community schools will be given priority in the selection of applicants. The training is being conducted to develop teachers' capacity and make educational activities creative, integrated, skill-based, and behavior-based.
Teachers who permanently reside in the Metropolitan City and teach schools within the metropolis will be given second priority. Regardless of their permanent residence, teachers who teach schools within Kathmandu Metropolitan City have been given third priority in selection.
The Department of Education has issued a notice regarding teacher training. In 2081, Magh 3 and 4 will train 60 Math, Science, Social Studies, Nepali, English, and Economics teachers for class 10.
From 2081, Magh 3 to 8 teachers of Early Childhood Development Centers will be trained on center operation and management. A total of 90 teachers will be involved in this group.
From 2081 Magh 3 to 7, 270 teachers from classes 1 to 3 will receive training. The Metropolitan Education Department has informed us that this group will receive an integrated curriculum and formative assessment. The training is expected to improve teacher professional development and student performance.
Teachers interested in the training must register online applications by 1 pm on 2081 Magh 2. The names of the applicants participating in the training and the training center will be published on the same day.
