The Japanese Language School Association of Nepal (JALSAN) has been organizing the Japanese Language Speech Contest with the aim of promoting the Japanese language, culture and Japanese educational system in Nepal.
The 8th Japanese language speech competition was organized on 11th February 2023 at the Indreni Banquet (Maitri Hall) located in New baneshwor.
Embassy of Japan, JICA Alumni Association of Nepal (JAAN), Japanese University Alumni Association of Nepal (JUAAN), AOTS Nepal, Iwatani Gakuen, Federation of Educational Counsel, Everest Bank, City Express, East Bridge, ECAN, FECON, Nihonjinkai, IERIN, NECA, NAAER , LAN, JLCT, J-CERT, PJC, NAT TEST, Pudasaini Maitri Samaj, Narendra Batika Naxal, etc. along with JALSAN family were well presented in the program.
Arun Pandey, General Secretary of JALSAN, welcomed all the guests present at the official inauguration of the Speech Competition, which proceeded with the high honor of the National Anthem.
Sunil Brajacharya, the former president of the organization, explained the activities of JALSAN in the program.
At the event, Ramesh Acharya, a board member of JALSAN recited the rules of the 8th Japanese language speech competition among the students, judges and attendees.
The contestant students presented their speech on the given topic in the 8th Japanese language Speech Competition.
The members of the Jury Committee of the 8th Japanese Language Speech Competition the Second Secretary of the Japanese Embassy, Miss Sato Mayuko, the Director of Nepal Nyongin Khai , Miss Kumiko Kato, and the General Secretary of JAN, Shanti Lakshmi Shakya jointly selected winners.
According to the members of the Jury Committee Hridya Sakya, from Sagarmatha Japanese language institute, Nikesh Ghising Tamang from Skylark Japanese language school, Ravin Dangol from Wakaba Education Consultancy and Archana Shrestha of International Kaicon Educational Consultancy had succeeded in occupying the first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.
The chief guest of the event, His Excellency Mr. Kikuta Yutaka, Ambassador of the Japanese Embassy, distributed certificates and prizes to the best contestants.
After the prize distribution, His Excellency the Ambassador expressed his opinion by highly appreciating the contribution of the Japanese Language School Association of Nepal JALSAN in promoting the Japanese language, culture and Japanese educational system in Nepal.
The president of the organization Ramesh Devkota presented the token of love to the jury committee, guests and sponsors. He also distributed gifts provided by City Express to all the contestants.
Certificates were distributed by Jhamkalal Shrestha (Vishal) IPP of the organization to the volunteers who helped the program.
The president of the organization, Ramesh Devkota, concluded the program by thanking the jury committee, guests, sponsors and all the contestants for making the program successful.
The program was conducted by Sanjeev Jung and Miria Khadgi who are members of JALSAN.
