The ICT Startup and Innovation Fest is being organized at the Presidential Business School in Kathmandu this Saturday, October 2, with the objective of encouraging the youth to try something new and innovative in the country. Organized by Living with ICT and co-sponsored by F1Soft, the ICT Awards 2021 will feature Best Startups, Products, and Rising Star Innovations Fest.
An online application was recently opened under the sixth edition of the ICT Awards. More than 350 online applications have been received in 11 different categories and out of them, the top 10 contestants selected in the Startup ICT Award, Product ICT Award, and Rising Star Innovation ICT Award after two rounds will present their products and innovations at the fest.
There will be more than 40 startup and innovation stalls in the exhibition. A mentoring session is also being conducted on Friday under the fest. Suman Shakya, co-founder of Nepal Entrepreneurs Hub, Shankar Upreti, founder of Hamro Patro, and Rajendra Giri, Chairman of ApplyJob will be mentoring the startups.
The F1Soft ICT Awards 2021 in Association with Genes, powered by Huawei, has announced the names of the top 10 and 11 in 3 different categories. The jury committee of the ICT Awards has announced the names of the top 10 of the Startup ICT Awards and the top 11 of the Rising Star Innovation and Product ICT Awards. The jury committee has announced the best 10 and 11 after evaluating various stages. A jury committee of 12 IT experts and a 15-member special advisory committee have been formed for the ICT Awards organized by Living with ICT.

Also among the top 11 of the Rising Star Innovation ICT Awards are Agriclear, Ask Materb, Disease Prediction in Maze Plant, In SAT, IoT-based Economic Air Purifier, Medicos International, Mushur, Open Past Paper, PK Agro Blockchain and Rent on Buy.
Bugby Software Technologies, Dulwa Expenditure, Hamro Life Bank, House of Books, Kalki IoT Solutions, Kheti Ventures, Nirman Sathi Technovation, Puryau Service, Sajilo Trip, and UG Bazaar have been shortlisted in the top 10 of the Startup ICT Awards.
Successful participants in the top 10 will be able to participate in the Startup and Innovation Fest. Similarly, the organizers have informed that the best 5 will be selected by participating in the presentation and speed dating session. Public voting and field visits will also be conducted to select the best from the top five. Similarly, in the other eight categories, the jury committee will take forward the selection process at different stages.
The ICT Awards include Startup ICT Awards, Product ICT Awards, Rising Star Innovation ICT Awards, Pioneer ICT Awards, Nepali Diaspora ICT Awards, Entrepreneur ICT Awards, and Women Icon ICT Awards. Similarly, Digital Governance ICT Award, Digital Services ICT Award, and Digital Education ICT Award are in the public and private sectors. The grand finale of the ICT Awards 2021 will be held on December 17 at the Salty Hotel.
This year, the award winners will receive special honors from Rastriya Banijya Bank with up to Rs 1.5 million in unsecured loan facilities, investment opportunities in startups and ideas, and other important services and facilities. Powered by sponsor Huawei will provide Huawei critical services worth Rs 300,000 to the winner of the Startup ICT Award category.
