HEAN's National Workshop Symposium Concludes with Release of Journal and Souvenir

Health Education Association of Nepal (HEAN) recently concluded its National Workshop Symposium held on the occasion of its 15th General Assembly. The event saw the release of the 10th issue of the Journal of Health Promotion, published by HEAN, and the HEAN Souvenir 2079. Prof. Dr. Chitra Bahadur Budhathoki, Dean of the Faculty of Education at Tribhuvan University, released the publications and also honored Prof. Dr. Shyamkrishna Maharjan, editor-in-chief of the Journal of Health Promotion.

Notable Speakers and Presentations at the Symposium

Several experts from the field of health education presented their respective topics at the National Workshop Symposium. Prof. Dr. Chitra Bahadur Budhathoki, Prof. Dr. Bhimsen, Dr. Devraj Acharya, Dr. Kalpana Gyawali, Dr. Mohan Kumar Sharma, Dr. Tulsiram Bhandari, Toyanath Pahadi, Ramnaresh Yadav, Radhadevi Dhakal, Mangala Poudel, and Thaneshwar Koirala delivered their speeches and presented working papers.

New HEAN Working Committee Elected

During the 15th General Assembly, HEAN elected a new 15-member working committee, with Prof. Dr. Bhimsen Devkota serving as chairman. Other elected officials include Kalpana Gyawali as vice-chairman, Dr. Bhagwan Aryal as general secretary, Subhash Prasad as treasurer, and Yaduram Upreti as secretary. The new committee will lead HEAN in advancing its mission to promote health education in Nepal.
