Graduation Ceremony of Karnali Academy of Health Sciences Scheduled

The Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) Teaching Hospital, Jumla, has announced its graduation ceremony will be held on 2081 Kartik 28. The event will feature the presence of the Prime Minister and Chancellor of the academy, KP Sharma Oli. Previously scheduled for 2081 Bhadra 23, the ceremony was postponed due to the Prime Minister's inability to attend.

According to the Vice-Chancellor of the academy, Dr. Mangal Rawal, Prime Minister Oli has confirmed his participation in the ceremony. The event will celebrate the graduation of 58 students who have completed various levels of technical higher education in the health sciences.

In addition to the graduation ceremony, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the newly constructed academic building of the academy. The event will also host several notable figures, including the Minister of Health and Population, Pradeep Paudel, and the Harvard Medical College Center for Primary Care and System Strengthening Director, Kristin Messenger.

As per the Dean of KAHS, Dr. Dabal Bahadur Dhami, the 58 graduates include:

  1. Undergraduate Level:

    • Bachelor of Public Health (BPH): 38 graduates (from the first and second batches).

    • Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (BMS): 13 graduates (from two batches).

  2. Postgraduate Level:

    • MD General Practice (MDGP): 3 graduates.

    • MD Anesthesiology: 1 graduate.

    • MD Pediatrics: 1 graduate.

The academy has stated that all preparations for the ceremony are underway.
