First Tiger Cup Invitational National Club Volleyball Championship in Pokhara:

The final of the first Tiger Cup Invitational National Club Volleyball Championship is being held at Pokhara Stadium on Saturday.

In the final, Gandaki will face Tribhuvan Army in the men's category while APF and Nepal Police will compete in the women's category. In the first match played on the fourth day of the tournament on Friday, Gandaki Pradesh defeated APF 3-0 in a straight-set to enter the final. Gandaki won 25-21, 29-27, and 25-15. Gandaki entered the final with 6 points.

In the second match, Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Nepal Police Club 3-0 in a straight-set to secure a match against Gandaki Pradesh in the final. Army's victories were 26-24, 25-22, and 25-14. Army, which has won two games, is in the first position with 6 points.

On the women's side, APF defeated New Diamond 3-0 in a straight-set to compete with Nepal Police. The APF defeated New Diamond 25-21, 25-21, and 25-23. Despite the same 5 points, APF is ahead on the basis of the set. Nepal Police Club, which has already won two games, has entered the final with six points.

In the round-robin league competition, Army came first, Gandaki Pradesh second, Police third, and APF fourth. On the women's side, Nepal Police Club is first, APF is second, New Diamond is third and Army is fourth. Chairman of the group Narayan Sharma informed that they will compete for the title in the first and second place team competition.

The winners of the competition will receive Rs 150,000 each, the trophy, medal, certificate, and the runner-up will receive Rs 75,000 and the third-place winner will receive Rs 25,000, said Prakash Baral, General Secretary of Tiger Group.

Similarly, the best male and female players will get Rs 20,000 each. The best server, best setter, best blocker, best defender, and spiker female and male players will receive the same prize of Rs 5,000.
