FECENEPAL Holds First Annual General Meeting in Kathmandu

Kathmandu – The Federation of Educational Consultancy Entrepreneurs Nepal (FECENEPAL) successfully held its first annual general meeting (AGM) and declaration event on Chaitra 15, 2081. The event was conducted under the chief guestship of the Chairperson of the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee of the House of Representatives.

Deepak Malhotra, President of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce; Nareshlal Shrestha, General Secretary; Suprabhav Bhandari, President of the Nepal Guardians Federation; and other distinguished personalities from the educational consultancy sector attended the event.

The general meeting elected a 55-member executive committee, which includes one senior vice president, nine vice presidents, one general secretary, one treasurer, six secretaries, and other senior members. The advisory committee of the federation includes ten members.

Addressing the program, the Chairperson of the Education Committee, Thapa, stated that the federation plays a vital role in making the educational consultancy profession organized, transparent, and quality-focused. He mentioned that the federation’s contribution is necessary for providing proper guidance to Nepali students and improving the quality of education.

President of the federation, Rajendra Baral, officially announced the federation’s formation and affirmed its commitment to protect and promote the rights and interests of educational consultants. He mentioned that efforts would be made to establish Nepal as an international education destination and to bring foreign students into Nepal.

General Secretary Uddhav Khadka said that all members must work together to lead the federation forward effectively.

Suprabhav Bhandari, President of the Nepal Guardians Federation, stated that sending Nepali students abroad for higher education is not wrong, but an environment must be created for their return. He pointed out the need to improve the management of Nepal’s universities.

The federation has expressed its commitment to coordinate with various governmental and non-governmental organizations to make the educational consultancy sector transparent, dignified, and organized. The federation will focus on providing accurate guidance to students, attracting international students to Nepal, and improving the quality of consultancy services.
