Kathmandu, March 22, 2025 – The Certified College of Accountancy (CCA) successfully hosted the CCA Graduation 2025 at Dusit Princess, Lazimpat, celebrating the achievements of its graduates in a grand ceremony. The event brought together esteemed guests, faculty members, students, and distinguished professionals from accountancy and finance. This year marked the highest number of graduates, with active participation from parents, ACCA Nepal, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) employers, and several distinguished guests. Additionally, the event was broadcast live on national television.
The program commenced with a warm welcome, social interactions, and a high tea session from 8:00 to 9:45 AM, allowing attendees to connect and celebrate in a joyful atmosphere. The formal proceedings began at 9:50 AM, with host Osin Sitaula officially inaugurating the event.
Distinguished Presence and Inaugural Speeches
Chief Guest Mr. Dinanath Sharma, former Education Minister, and the CCA Board of Directors graced the ceremony, including Chairman Govinda Raj Panta, Academic Director Diwas Silwal, and Marketing Director Manish Sharma. Special guests from ACCA Nepal, including Mr. Rabin Katuwal (FCCA, Head of ACCA Nepal), Ms. Supriya Tuladhar, Ms. Palisha Tuladhar, and Ms. Poonam Shahi, also attended the event.
Representatives from leading financial and business institutions were present, including Sulav Shrestha (Vice Chair, ACCA Member Advisory Committee), Abhinay Kushuwaha (FCCA, The Fred Hollows Foundation), and Suman Sitaula (FCCA, Business Strategy & Excellence, Sipradi). Several partner firms participated in the celebrations, including SDR Associates, P & B Associates, Synergy Business & Advisor Pvt. Ltd., MORU Digital Wallet, and Hexa Nepal.
Ceremonial Highlights
The opening ceremony featured the National Anthem, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the Panas by Chief Guest Mr. Dinanath Sharma. Diwas Silwal delivered the welcome speech, emphasizing CCA’s commitment to excellence in accountancy education. A vibrant welcome dance performance by CCA students Riju Ghimire and Susmita Basnet captivated the audience.
In his speech, Our BOD member, Mr. Diwas Silwal, praised CCA for its role in shaping finance professionals and highlighted the importance of accountancy in Nepal’s economic growth. The event also included a unique visual recording from the South Asian Head of ACCA, Nilusha Ranasinghe, reinforcing CCA’s global recognition. Additionally, Mr. Rabin Katwal, Head of ACCA Nepal, commended CCA’s commitment to excellence in ACCA education and emphasized its significant contribution to developing skilled accounting professionals in Nepal.
Graduation Ceremony
The most awaited part of the event was the formal graduation ceremony, where each graduate was honored with a certificate of achievement and recognition for their academic journey. Graduates could acknowledge their experiences and thank mentors, family, and peers. Additionally, CCA faculty members were honored for their contributions to the institution's continued success.
Engaging Performances and Address by ACCA Professionals
Post lunch, the event continued with inspiring speeches from Manisha Gupta (ACCA Affiliate), Bishwa Raj Timsina (ACCA Affiliate), Sumit Adhikari (ACCA Member), and Tanka Karki (ACCA Member). A soulful singing performance by Samundra Shah (CCA Student) added a celebratory touch.
Closing Ceremony and Felicitation
All esteemed guests received a special Token of Appreciation, followed by closing remarks by our BOD. The event officially concluded with a thank-you note from the anchor, group photographs, graduates' testimonials, and a tea session from 2:50 to 3:15 PM, marking the end of an unforgettable day of achievement and celebration.
