48th Convocation Ceremony of Tribhuvan University Concludes: 63,137 students graduated in the 48th convocation ceremony of Tribhuvan University. According to the information given by Professor Dr. Dharmakant Baskota, the vice-chancellor of the university, the 60 students included in the grace list by taking transcripts from 2078 Ashad 1st to 2079 Jestha 31st were initiated in the convocation ceremony held at Pulchok Campus in Lalitpur today.
Tribhuvan University Chancellor and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Vice Chancellor and Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Devendra Paudel, and others participated in the ceremony. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, the former Vice-Chancellor of the Center University of Punjab, India, was present as the chief guest at the ceremony.
At present, there are 112 official campuses of Tribhuvan University in 76 districts out of 77 in the country. Vice-Chancellor Baskota said that although the 50-year-old physical structure was further dilapidated by the 2072 earthquake, there has been no reconstruction work yet, adding to the despair.
