Program Overview
The MPhil in Nepali Education at Nepal Open University is a research-based postgraduate degree designed to prepare graduates for advanced academic pursuits, including PhD studies. This 1.5-year program aims to involve graduates in quality research, expanding their theoretical understanding and ensuring potential careers in the field of educational studies.
Target Groups
The MPhil Program in Education is primarily targeted at working individuals who are unable to join conventional face-to-face education systems but wish to pursue advanced-level courses in Educational Studies.

Eligibility
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Hold an MEd, Master in Pedagogical Sciences, or Master in Educational Studies with at least a second division or a CGPA of 2.7.
- Candidates with a Master’s degree in a discipline other than Education, securing a second division or CGPA of 2.7, are also eligible. These candidates must take an additional three-credit introductory course.
Admission Criteria
Applicants must pass an entrance examination based on the following structure:

- Time: 90 Minutes
- Syllabus: Research Methodology at the Master's or equivalent level
