Overview
MMIHS in collaboration with the University of Sheffield is running the postdoctoral fellow program under the research project- Federalization and its effect in the health system: Longitudinal study. The primary duty of a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (PDF) is to pursue in MMIHS an independent program of advanced study and research for publication as approved by the institute.
Fellowships are aimed at those in the immediately postdoctoral stage of their career, to provide the opportunity to consolidate their Ph.D. through developing publications, their networks, and their research and professional skills. After being admitted to the Program, each fellow should design, in collaboration with their mentor, an annual research plan and submit their monthly progress to the mentor.
Meanwhile, PDFs need to publish as research papers in scientific journals. The mentor will supervise the PDF’s work and provide feedback to accomplish their research work and publish the paper. Upon completion of their program, PDFs are issued a certificate of completion by both institutions- the University of Sheffield and MMIHS.
PDFs must complete a request form and provide updated curriculum vitae, a forwarding address, and start and end dates approved by their mentor to the institute. We provide a supportive postdoctoral training environment with some of the world’s leading scientists working on cutting-edge of fundamental and translational research programs.
