Overview
Laligurans Rastriya College (LRC) offers a ten-plus-two (+2) Humanities program affiliated with the National Examination Board (NEB), Nepal. The program aims to equip students with knowledge and skills in various humanities fields, such as history, culture, geography, economics, sociology, political science, psychology, and literature.
The program lasts two years and is divided into Part 1 (grade 11) and Part 2 (grade 12). In both grades, the students study compulsory subjects like Nepali, English, and Social Studies. At the same time, they can choose elective subjects like History, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, and Rural Development based on their interests and future aspirations.
LRC's teaching methodology is based on discussion, explanation, illustration, communication, pair work, group work, case studies, project work, and guest lectures. The college also conducts various co-curricular activities to enhance students' skills and talents in different areas of interest.
Upon completing the program, students can pursue higher studies in various humanities fields, such as social work, psychology, sociology, history, geography, economics, political science, and literature. They can also pursue careers in teaching, research, journalism, civil services, NGOs, social work, etc.
