The Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc AH) program at HICAST is designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in veterinary science and animal husbandry. The B.V. Sc. & A.H. program’s goal is to develop skilled and knowledgeable labor in the fields of livestock management, production, and health. Following I. Sc. (Bachelor Science) or I. Sc. (Agriculture), the normal B. V. Sc. & A.H. curriculum is a five-year degree that consists of nine semesters of academic coursework and a final one-semester internship. In order to transmit both wide and intense knowledge in veterinary clinical sciences, animal breeding, livestock production, and management, the curriculum has been created to blend fundamental, production and management, practical, and clinical disciplines.

Course Outlines:

The BVSc AH program covers a wide range of subjects, including animal anatomy and physiology, veterinary pharmacology, animal nutrition, veterinary pathology, animal breeding and genetics, livestock production management, veterinary surgery, epidemiology, veterinary public health, and more. Students also gain practical experience through clinical rotations and field visits.

Duration:

The Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc AH) program is a five-year undergraduate degree program, including a compulsory one-year internship.

Students who have successfully completed Intermediate in Science program NEB (+2 Science)/A Level, I.Sc., I.Sc.Ag. or equivalent (with at least 50% marks or C grade in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English) with minimum 50% marks or GPA 2.40 in aggregate are eligible to apply for this program. Admission is based on the merit secured by the applicants in the entrance examination conducted by Purbanchal University.
