Eligibility Criteria:
To apply for the Ph.D. program, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a Master's degree with a minimum second division.
- Candidates with an M.Phil. degree should submit a copy of their research proposal, including the abstract of their M.Phil. dissertation.
- Candidates without an M.Phil. degree should additionally submit three research articles, with at least one article published in a journal.
Enrollment Process:
To be eligible for the Ph.D. program, candidates must hold a Master's degree with a minimum of a second division. Candidates who have completed an M.Phil. degree are required to submit a copy of their research proposal, including an abstract of their M.Phil. dissertation. Candidates who do not have an M.Phil. degree should additionally submit three research articles, with at least one article published in a journal. The Office of the Dean evaluates these documents and invites candidates who score 50% or above for an interview. Final selection is based on the interview, and successful candidates are notified to enroll in the program.
The Research Committee, chaired by the Dean, handles all the processes related to the Ph.D. program. This committee establishes regulations, sets criteria, accepts and approves applications, and assigns supervisors and co-supervisors to Ph.D. researchers. The committee has the final authority to accept the dissertation and award the Ph.D. degree.
