Overview
Bachelor of Healthcare Management is a four-year program with 133 credit hours designed to prepare the students for the administration, management, and oversight of healthcare systems, public health systems, hospitals, entire hospital networks or other medical facilities. Duties of these professionals include ensuring the smooth operation of departments, hiring quality employees, disseminating information efficiently throughout the organization, obtaining the specific outcomes and making sure that the resources are used efficiently; among many other responsibilities. Generalists oversee entire facilities, while specialists focus on the administration of specific departments like marketing, finance, policy analysis or accounting.
Healthcare managers and administrators are at the heart of the business side of healthcare, as they're in charge of budgeting, scheduling and seeking out ways to improve patient care. This profession will leverage your stellar organizational and communication skills while allowing you to make a difference in the lives of others.
