Founded in 1950 AD (2009 B.S.), Thakur Ram Multiple Campus in Birgunj, Parsa stands as a testimony to the region's commitment to higher education. Not only is it the oldest institution outside of the Kathmandu Valley, but it also precedes the establishment of Tribhuvan University by seven years.
