Suryabhakta Patanadevi Memorial College (SPM College) was established in 2006 AD as a community based college. It is located in Gaidakot, Nawalparasi District of Nepal. It was founded with a vision of contributing to the development of education at community. Establishment of this college prevented the need of crossing Narayani River in search of higher education
This college was named after the well-known social person respected Suryabhakta Adhikari and his spouse Mrs. Patanadevi Adhikari for their initial offering of the land and other funds for the founding of a public college.
Suryabhakta Patanadevi Memorial College is affiliated to Tribhuvan University and National Examinations Board (NEB). It offers bachelor degree programs in Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Ten Plus two programs in Humanities, Education and Management.
The college has qualified, experienced and trained teachers and has facilitated students providing unlimited internet (Wi-Fi) connection. The college also organizes seminars, workshops and interaction programs for RD, Sociology, Journalism and Library Science.
