Overview
Sumnima Polytechnic Institute is a privately owned technical institute located in Deurali, Bhojpur district of Nepal. It is affiliated with the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT). It offers Diploma programs in Agriculture and Engineering, such as a Diploma in Agriculture (Plant Science) for 40 seats and a Diploma in Civil Engineering for 48 seats each year. The main objective of establishing Sumnima Polytechnic Institute is to produce a basic and middle-level technical workforce to meet the needs of construction, agriculture, manufacturing, and service sectors in Nepal and abroad.
Sumnima Polytechnic Institute’s key objectives are to Promote enrollment in the catchment areas, to Provide qualitative technical education and training, to Increase income generation activities, to Optimize the use of existing resources, and to Promote access to DAG people for short-term training.

SPI provides the necessary support to strengthen the internal evaluation / continuous assessment system and motivate students to work regularly. Facilities ensure that all students gain optimal advantage regarding advanced technical knowledge and skills. Diploma in Agriculture (Animal Science)
This three-year program focuses on animal physiology, nutrition, and management fundamentals. With a blend of theoretical coursework and hands-on training, the course prepares graduates for livestock management, veterinary assistance, and agricultural consultancy careers. The program admits 40 students annually and offers a 10% scholarship based on CTEVT entrance performance.
Diploma in Agriculture (Plant Science)
This three-year program is tailored for those interested in modern crop production and sustainable plant management. It covers essential topics such as plant biology, soil science, pest management, and innovative crop cultivation techniques. Emphasizing both classroom learning and field-based practical experiences, the course equips students with the knowledge to enhance crop yield and promote environmentally sustainable farming practices. With 40 seats available each year, a 10% scholarship is offered to outstanding candidates based on the CTEVT entrance results.
Diploma in Civil Engineering
The three-year Diploma in Civil Engineering is designed to build a strong foundation in construction, structural analysis, and infrastructure development. This course combines theoretical instruction with practical training in laboratories and construction sites, ensuring students are well-prepared to tackle real-world engineering challenges. The curriculum focuses on modern construction methods, material science, and sustainable practices in civil engineering. With 48 seats available annually, the program provides a 10% scholarship opportunity based on CTEVT entrance performance.
