Overview
Shaheed Smarak College was established in 1995 AD (2051 BS), located in Ward No. 19 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City in Chitwan, Bakhapur, Nepal, stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of those who sacrificed their lives for democracy in the region. Established through the dedicated efforts of social workers, intellectuals, and conscious guardians, the college honors both known and unknown martyrs from the area.
The college began by offering proficiency certificate level courses and has since expanded to provide a diverse range of educational programs. Currently, it offers classes for grades 11 and 12, affiliated with the National Examinations Board (NEB), along with undergraduate programs in Bachelor of Education (BEd), Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS), and Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA). At the postgraduate level, the college offers a Master of Business Studies (MBS), all affiliated with Tribhuvan University (TU). Presently, over 800 students are enrolled across these various programs.
Shaheed Smarak College has consistently evolved to meet the changing educational needs of the community. The college operates with a dedicated team of 35 lecturers and 10 administrative staff members, under the guidance of a robust management committee comprising socially committed, intellectual, and educated individuals. The institution is not driven by profit but by a commitment to social service, aiming to provide accessible, quality education to the local community.
The management committee is deeply committed to the college's mission of spreading education throughout the community. Regular meetings, interactions, and conferences are held with students, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure the continuous development of the institution.
