Overview
The Public Administration Campus (Jana Prasashan Campus जन प्रशासन क्यापस), located at Balkhu Height, Kathmandu, was established in 1796. It was started under the Center for Economic Development and Administration (CEDA) of Tribhuvan University (TU). The PAC is solely responsible for educating public administration in Nepal, imparting education and training, and conducting research programs in public affairs management. In 1986 AD, the PAC was upgraded to the Central Department of Public Administration (CDPA).
Public Administration Campus offers four years of Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA), Two years of Master of Public Administration (MPA), and 18 months of Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Public Administration.
The Public Administration Campus (Jana Prashasan Campus) has close ties with the government and incorporates curricular changes and new programs necessary to respond to its needs. Prof. Dr. P.S Bhattanakar of the Rajasthan University of Jaipur, Prof. Fred Rigs of the University of Hawaii, and Prof. Avubewa of the University of the Philippines were some of the notable personalities who have also contributed to the MPA program in Nepal.
Scholarship for the BPA program—Forty-four students are admitted to a section. Ten percent of students receive a scholarship and a half-stipend for the tuition fee. Those who completed +2 and SLC from a public college or school will be given priority.
