PMC was envisioned as a solution for students striving for a higher standard of applied learning that meets international benchmarks. Moreover, it provided an alternative for learners who faced admission limitations into the then-single option—Prithivi Narayan Campus.

The Genesis and Evolution of PMC

In its early stages, the campus was christened Pokhara Multiple Campus. The founding members formed the first management committee. They launched bachelor-level programs on the Mahendra Secondary School Building premises in Nayabazar, Pokhara. This step was an ambitious effort to expand the campus' educational influence.
