Overview
Nona Koirala Media College was established in 2008 AD (2064 BS), Which is located in Banlauri Chowk, Kanchanbari, Biratnagar, Morang district of Nepal. It is affiliated to Purbanchal University and it offers full time Bachelor degree programs in Bachelor of Mass Communication and Journalism (BMCJ). This is the first journalism college in the Mofussil. According to General Secretary of the Foundation, Bijay Mishra, any 10+2 passed students in any subject could join the college. The then president of the Nepali Congress, Girija Prasad Koirala, had established the College in memory of his sister-in-law, the late Nona Koirala.
