Overview
MidWestern University School of Humanities and Social Sciences has been starting from academic year 2012-2013, which is under the Mid-Western University Premises in Birendranagar, Surkhet district of Nepal. It offers bachelor and master degree programs in various subjects.
Development is a dynamic process of improving the quality of all human lives at different but equally important levels, by creating conditions conducive to the holistic growth of the individuals and increasing peoples’ freedom to choose by enlarging the range of their choices.
These core themes inform the teaching philosophy of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and nourish all of its taught programs. Around these core themes, the School has thus identified the main subject areas of the Institute and, based on this, has developed its academic offer both at graduate and undergraduate level. Some courses are interdisciplinary and broad-ranging, looking at key social issues from a variety of angles and perspectives, while others are subject specific.
Mid-Western University School of Humanities and Social Sciences offers various subjects such as BA in Conflict and Peace Studies, BA in Development Economics, BA in International Relations, BA in Social Work, MA in Development Economics, MA in International Cooperation and Development and MA in International Relations.
