Overview

Mid-West University School of Education Sciences (Graduate School of Education) is a constituent campus of Mid-West University located in Birendranagar, Surkhet district, Nepal. It is affiliated with Mid-West University and approved by the University Grants Commission of Nepal. The school's objectives are to provide educational programs designed to respond to the professional and social needs of various target groups of learners.

It is involved in scientific research dealing with detailed educational problems spanning various disciplines. Engaging research goes beyond the borders of the various disciplines, creating an inspiring intellectual environment. It is also involved at regional and national levels with community organizations, educational institutions, and numerous stakeholders for providing community service and outreach.

As one of Mid-West University's (MWU) leading schools, the Graduate School of Education is positioned as a responsible institution that produces human capacity in education, addressing the changing local, national, regional, and global realities of education science. The School of Postgraduate Education does not have a long history; however, it is one of the founding schools of Mid-West University. 

It was established on January 1, 2012, under the Faculty of Educational Science, the School of Educational Studies and Autonomy, led by the academic director. The founding academic director of the School of Educational Studies and Autonomy was Mr. Narayan Prasad Adhikari, who Mr. Laxmi Prasad Acharya later followed. After a few years, it was named Central Campus of Education under the Faculty of Education, led by the Campus Chief; currently, Mr. Jasbir Roka is leading the Campus. Recently, as per the decision of the 12th Senate of Mid-West University, it has been named the Graduate School of Education under the School of Education, Mid-West University.
The Mid-West University School of Education Graduate School is a significant base for academic excellence and educational research initiatives. Here, we produce highly recognized talent who can contribute to and support the global vision of educational development.
