Our Nursing Programs
At KAMHSON, we offer three distinct academic programs tailored to your educational background:
- Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) Nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Post Basic Bachelor of Nursing (PBN)
Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) Nursing
PCL Nursing graduates are qualified to work in various settings such as hospitals, schools, and institutions of junior health service providers. This course empowers you to provide general and Sexual Reproductive Maternity and Child Health (SRMNH) care services.
Affiliated with CTEVT and accredited by NNC, this course lays the groundwork for advanced education, offering a primary level of cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains of education. It equips students with basic healthcare knowledge, and procedural skills, and fosters professional behavior development. The course also includes basic-level midwifery subjects, preparing students for basic maternity and neonatal care services.
Post Basic Bachelor of Nursing (PBN)
PBN graduates are eligible for managerial positions, teaching roles, basic research, and advanced practice. You can also develop a career as a nursing entrepreneur and contribute to the overall health of the people in the country.
Affiliated with Purbanchal University, this three-year advanced-level course in nursing for staff nurses offers three major elective subjects:
- Medical-Surgical (Adult Nursing I)
- Psychiatric Nursing
- Midwifery
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
BSN graduates are equipped to fulfill professional responsibilities as nursing officers, faculty members, basic researchers, and care providers, along with private nursing entrepreneurship.
Affiliated with Purbanchal University, the BSN is a four-year course designed to combine basic and advanced levels of nursing knowledge and practice. The aim is to prepare competent professional nurses to work in education, administrative, and service sectors.
Admission Criteria
Each program has specific admission criteria, including minimum grade requirements, relevant subject prerequisites, and medical fitness. Some seats in the PCL course are allocated for ANMs as in-service quota. For the PBN and BSN programs, a minimum work experience and Nepal Nursing Council (NNC) Registration are required.
