Overview

Kantipur Bahu Prabidhik Shikshalaya (then known as Kantipur College of Medical Sciences) was established and registered at Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT, Nepal) in 2060 BS (2003 AD) and has been the pioneer in providing best quality education and skill training in various fields of vocational and technical sector. In collaboration with and financial assistance of governmental organization and several nongovernmental organizations (both national and international), our institute (KBPS) has produced more than 21,050 trained graduates covering almost all the districts representing all agro ecological zones of Nepal.

It has its regular post-SLC JTA programs in both agriculture and veterinary field with a major emphasis on providing short-term technical skill training in 32 different trades consisting of agriculture, veterinary, construction, hospitality, mechanics, and engineering field in affiliation with CTEVT as well as in village animal health worker (VAHW) and village agriculture worker (VAW) in affiliation with Ministry of Livestock and Ministry of Agriculture Development respectively.

The institute has been continuously involved in providing consultancy services in preparing technical curricula, making vocational training manuals, preparing audio-visual documentation, and providing training and employment services including the result based short term training modality. They have been experienced in imparting field-based skill training in different socio-economical and cultural settings and also residential since our institute is well endowed with infrastructure including its own office building, canteen, and hostel located near the heart of central Nepal. KBPS can impart skill training as it is furnished with well-trained trainers with the potential to deliver the training in a participatory approach.
