Kalika Public College

Kalika Public College (KPC), Ramnagar, Pokhara, was established in 2007 AD as a non-profit, philanthropic, public-spirited, and community-based academic institution affiliated with the Tribhuvan University of Nepal has been giving opportunities to the secondary level education of the country to pursue their higher studies in the faculties of Management and Education since its inception on 6th November 2007 (2064/07/20). 

As a result of the successful operation of Kalika Secondary School, KP College was established with the initiation of the local community, School Management Committee, and Parent-Teacher Association of Kalika Secondary School, a community-based school based in the year 1965 A.D. KP College has one of the best physical facilities in this region. Located in the academic and peaceful area of the city, the college is spread out over 23 Ropanis of land. The college has beautifully designed collegiate buildings separated into blocks. Kalika Public College and Kalika Secondary School have a daughter-mother relationship.

The college is located at Pokhara-10, Rambazar. Students from different parts of the city, the surrounding rural municipality of Kaski District, and neighboring districts have been studying in the college. The college is devoted to producing competent human resources who are well-educated, highly skilled, trained, and capable of accepting the growing challenges of the present world of globalization. Through its extra-curricular activities and programs, KPC strongly supports the students in fostering leadership and participative capability, building morale and self-confidence to realize their true potential, and sharpening their decision-making competence. Our students are expected to be able to stand on their own by earning an excellent academic career.

Mission & Vision

Kalika Public College mission gives emphasis on providing conducive learning environment, high moral standards and noble value system for students. It aims at generating dynamic candidates with a global perspective and an adoptive mode of functioning through integrated learning. The College provides its student with new thoughts, new ambition and new mission, quality and result-oriented education which would help develop the students intellectually, morally, physically and socially at reasonable fees. We inspire students to become good and smart with high moral values, develop KPC as a center of academic excellence & expand its academic programme in order to cater growing needs and strengthen them. We facilitate the students in student centered method with friendly environment.

Assessments

Students at Kalika Public College have an opportunity to appear two internal assessments which encourage them to regular and consistent in their studies. Internal assessments also help students get feedback, their study and keep them well prepared and confident for the final examination. Besides these internal tests, the students have to attend the unit tests which are conducted by the subject teacher right after the completion of each unit. To encourage the students, the College awards prizes to the topper students on the auspicious occasion of annual function.

Scholarship Schemes

Kalika Public College provides full scholarships to deserving on various criteria students. Scholarships are offered to the deserving students who are poor, marginalized, Dalit, Janajati, martyr’s family, physically handicapped, etc. Among the above stated groups, the eligible students are selected for scholarship. The students who stand the first in the board examination conducted by TU are honored with such scholarships so as to inspire them to study harder. We are compelled to offer for those students who are enrolled our college from far-away.

Fee Structure

KP College, being a non-profit making community college, constructs its fee structure to an affordable level to meet its running costs. It is always guided by the feeling of cost recovery, not by profit-making motive. We believe in qualitative service than profit base.

Since its inception in 2007, KP College has been providing quality education at Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). The college has a team of dedicated and fully devoted faculty members for the overall high academic achievements of the students. It is my great honor and pleasure to share that KP College is dedicated to develop as a center of excellence for higher studies by excelling teaching, learning and extra-curricular activities. KP College also feels proud of reporting that it has planned to expand programs such as Bachelor’s programs in humanities and Master’s programs in Management and Education in the years to come. As the chairman of the college, I would like to appeal our students, guardians and well wishers to continue their supports in keeping our dreams come true.
