Janata Vidyapeeth (जतना विद्यापीठ, विजाैरी, दाङ्ग) is a constituent campus of Nepal Sanskrit University (NSU), located in Bijauri, Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City, Dang District, within Lumbini Province. Established in 1984 B.S. with a foundational goal to promote Eastern classical literature and traditional education, the campus has grown into a multidisciplinary center of learning.
It offers Sanskrit programs at the Intermediate and bachelor's levels, including Uttar Madhyama, Shastri, and a One-Year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). It has a historical tradition in Sanskrit education in this region.
Initially launched as Janata School, it transitioned into Janata Mahavidyalaya in 2011 B.S. and then became Janata Campus in 2028 B.S. It was finally integrated into NSU in 2043 B.S. under its current name.
In 2024 B.S., Janata Vidyapeeth hosted an International Sanskrit Scholars' Conference, which became a pivotal event in laying the foundation for the creation of Nepal Sanskrit University itself. The campus continues to preserve classical Sanskrit traditions while integrating modern academic disciplines for a diverse student body.
