Overview
Holy Vision Technical Campus has been established with a mission to produce competent middle-level health professionals who can cater to the healthcare needs of the rural population. The institution is driven by twin objectives of providing quality education and training to the students and preparing them for employment opportunities after completion of their studies.
Academic Programs
Holy Vision Technical Campus offers three academic programs to students, namely Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) in Nursing, General Medicine, and Diploma in Pharmacy. These programs are designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge required to excel in their respective fields. The curriculum for all these programs is prescribed by the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), recognized by Tribhuvan University and approved by Nepal Nursing Council, Nepal Professional Health Council, and Nepal Pharmacy Council.
PCL in Nursing
The PCL in Nursing program was initiated in the year 2002. This program is aimed at producing skilled staff nurses who can provide quality healthcare services to the patients. The course duration is three years, and students are taught various subjects related to nursing, such as anatomy and physiology, nutrition, community health nursing, pharmacology, and many more.
General Medicine
The General Medicine program was started in 2003, and it is designed to produce Health Assistants who can provide primary healthcare services to the rural population. The three-year program covers subjects such as microbiology, pathology, medicine, surgery, and pediatrics.
Diploma in Pharmacy
The Diploma in Pharmacy program was introduced in 2004. The program is aimed at producing skilled pharmacy technicians who can work in both hospital and community pharmacy settings. The three-year program covers subjects such as pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, and hospital pharmacy management.
Course of Study
The course of study for all three programs is spread over three years, and students are required to complete theoretical as well as practical components. The curriculum is designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to become competent health professionals. The courses are regularly updated to keep up with the latest advancements in the field of healthcare.
