Overview
Gorkha Polytechnic College and Research Centre (GPCRC) was established in 2075 BS (2018 AD) and located in Kohalpur, Banke. GPCRC is affiliation with the Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), Rampur, Chitawan with the aim of producing competent technical human resources in the field of Agriculture. GPCRC has been running under the management team of Gorkha United Public School (GUPS) with the joint effort of a team of retired and currently serving British Gurkhas and Singapore Police since 2018 AD.
Gorkha Polytechnic College and Research Centre has greenery surroundings, academic environment, highly dedicated and experienced faculty members, visiting professors, well-equipped laboratory, resourceful Library, Audio/Visual classes, a widespread of 5 hectares of agriculture farm, playing court, transportation facilities, cafeteria, hostel and other infrastructure are the salient features of this college and hence it has been able to become the first choice of the students.
GPCRC provides the academy with highly experienced experts and valuable assistance to arrange and organize the events ranging from Noble Science Expo to continue and internalize the Co-Curricular Activities and other important responsibilities. In spite of all difficulties, the school management is considerably planning to develop a tangible platform to explore the joint-venture strategies and to find meaningful solutions to the problems of today and tomorrow.
It has been a dream of GPCRC, not only to establish itself as a centre of academic excellence in the field of Agriculture providing quality education but also aims to extend it as a Research Centre in Agriculture and endorse the people of this community providing a different kind of technical support to bring the changes in our traditional farming, introducing new modern & innovative technology.
GPCRC is conducting research after collaboration with IRRI project for Nepal and under process to build partnerships and linkages with national/international educational/research/ developmental institutions for the exposure of students.
