Admission Guidelines

For Bachelor Level Programs at GATE College

Step 1: Counseling

1. Visit the GATE College campus and meet with our admission counselor for guidance and information about the programs offered.

2. Eligible candidates must submit an application in the prescribed form for the Entrance Test. The application should include the following documents:

   • Certified testimonials of all examinations passed.
   • Equivalency, Transfer, and Character Certificates.
   • Two recent passport-sized photographs.
   • Financial certificate.

Step 2: Entrance Test and Selection Process

• Entrance Test: Candidates will be required to take an Entrance Test to assess their knowledge and aptitude for the chosen program.

• Personal Interview: Qualified candidates from the Entrance Test will proceed to the personal interview round, where they will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and discuss their aspirations.

• Group Analysis: In addition to the personal interview, candidates may participate in a group analysis activity to evaluate their teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

• Result and Conditional Offer Letter: After the evaluation process, successful candidates will receive their results and a conditional offer letter from GATE College.

• Admission Confirmation: Candidates who receive a conditional offer letter must confirm their admission by accepting the offer and paying the required fees within the specified time frame.

• Bust-up Classes or Short-term Course (if applicable): Depending on the program, candidates may be required to attend bust-up classes or short-term courses to strengthen their foundational knowledge before the official class commencement.

• Class Commencement: Once the admission is confirmed and all necessary formalities are completed, candidates will join the regular classes as per the academic calendar.

Note: GATE College also accepts CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) scores as part of the admission process.

For Diploma Level Programs at GATE College

• Eligibility: Students should have successfully completed the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) or its equivalent.

• English Language Proficiency: Students should have a basic knowledge of the English language, both oral and written, to effectively participate in the program.

• Mental and Physical Fitness: Students should be in good health and mentally motivated to pursue a career in the hospitality industry.

Intake Dates: GATE College offers intakes for Diploma Level Programs in January and August.

Need-Based Scholarships

• Financially Needy: Scholarships are available for students who demonstrate financial need, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their educational journey.

• Lower Caste: Scholarships are offered to students from lower castes, promoting social equity and empowering individuals from marginalized communities.

Merit-Based Scholarships

• G.P.A. in NEB: Scholarships are awarded based on the Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) achieved in the National Examination Board (NEB) examinations, recognizing academic excellence.

• College Entrance Examination: Merit-based scholarships are offered to students who perform exceptionally well in the GATE College entrance examination.

• Academic and Extracurricular Merits: We acknowledge students who excel not only academically but also in extracurricular activities, rewarding their well-rounded achievements.

• Athletics: Scholarships are available for students who demonstrate outstanding sports abilities, with the necessary sports certifications to validate their achievements.
