Overview
Farwest Technical College (FTC) was established in 2010 AD (2067 BS) located in Nainadevi Road, Dhangadi, Kailali district of Nepal. It is affiliated to Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and approved by Nepal Nursing Council. FTC offers 3 years’ full time Staffs Nurse programs and 15 months’ full time Civil Sub-overseer.
PHILOSOPHY: The philosophy of Farwest Technical College is,
- To develop FTC into a model institute that can compete with the best and make a significant contribution to the countries need for trained nursing professionals.
- Active involvement in district and village development committees in developing nursing professionals in keeping with the decentralize Health service programme of the government.
MISSION:
Imparting quality nursing education in an age where global standards (like ISO) have become a norm, the Farwest Technical College will strive to increase the number of professionally trained and competent professional nurses to alleviate the demand in Far-western region in particular and Nepal and the world in general without compromising the professional competence, skill and commitment.
After completion of the course the candidates will be competent professional nurses who will contribute in promoting the health standards of individuals and communities alike.
OBJECTIVES:
To meet the ever increasing demand for qualified, trained and dedicated nursing professionals.
To Maintain and further develop facilities to train students in nursing care and practice through modern and scientific methods to enable them to make critical decision about health of people.
To run the programme efficiently through optimum utilization of infrastructural and human resource availability in order to establish a financially sustainable model.
